Complete relaunch of the Magento B2B web store

Realization

The project was divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 involved setting up basic functionalities and all basic interfaces so that the store was quickly operational again. This phase was successfully completed with the go-live.

In phase 2, non-essential features will be successively added, interfaces optimized and "teething troubles" rectified.

Special features

New customer data is transferred directly to the TORWEGGE system, where it is verified and then activated fully automatically in the Magento store. All commercial processes are controlled by the ERP system Dynamics NAV, which also supplies and receives the corresponding data (prices, stocks, order history, customer master data, etc.) via an interface. The Perfion product information management system is used to maintain products and product information.

The PIM system already controls all promotional product information in the TORWEGGE print catalog design. The new Magento online store obtains the product-related data (images, description texts, properties, sizes, etc.) from this database, as well as filter criteria for the search or the structure of the navigation bar.

Interesting functions

  • Clear presentation of product properties via dynamically generated symbols directly on the product image in the overview.
  • Display of all orders already placed, regardless of the order form (written, telephone or web store). This enables customers to quickly purchase missing products.
  • Fixed watch lists that can be created for individual customers and assigned to them. The buyer has an overview of the variants that are important to him and can order them with one click.
  • Footer that can be maintained by the TORWEGGE Group via CMS, in which product information and image material can be made available and company information and contact forms can be edited.

Conclusion

The new online store of the TORWEGGE Group presents itself in an attractive design and with an extended range. It impresses with its clarity and ease of use.

A good example of how a modern online store can improve service and generate customer satisfaction.
