Our story in a nutshell
Founding and initial development steps
atlantis dx was founded in 1994, and just one year later we moved into our current office on Haferweg in Hamburg. We originally started out developing inventory management systems for the retail sector. With the onset of the web boom in 1998, we expanded our portfolio and developed our first websites. These projects gave rise to our current web team, which specializes in developing modern corporate websites and complex portal solutions.
Getting started with E-Commerce and system integration
In 2000, we bridged the gap between retail and online presence by developing our first B2B online store with SAP integration for REYHER. This groundbreaking project laid the foundation for our e-commerce team — and for our commitment to developing interfaces and integrating a wide variety of systems. A particular highlight: Our trusting partnership with REYHER continues to this day.
Intelligent system architectures for a data-driven future
Additional e-commerce projects followed, and our focus on data and interfaces led to the creation of our Data Team. As our experience grew, we recognized the central role of CRM systems and the seamless integration of different platforms. This led to the establishment of our independent “Data & Analytics” department. Today, this department covers a broad spectrum, including workflow automation, data warehouses, interface development, and the implementation and optimization of CRM and customer service tools. By the way: We began focusing intensively on customer service as early as 1996. With a self-service information terminal, we enabled customers to browse a store’s entire product range. A special feature was the ability to order products directly at the terminal for home delivery—an innovation that was ahead of its time.

Successful digitalization is like a team sport: only a well-coordinated team with individual strengths is successful in the long term.
